I have finally started quilting an old UFO thanks to www.emblibrary.com! I found a cute strawberry quilt design to add to my Strawberry Shortcake quilts. I have a big block crib quilt to finish too. I used a variegated pink and white thread for this quilt.

I was playing with the monogram lettering on my machine and decided to embellish some old cloth napkins that we use frequently. I embroidered a nice sized "S" on one corner of each napkin. I will be adding a custom listing very soon! These personalized cloth napkins make great wedding, anniversary and housewarming gifts! I apologize for the sideways pic. I've been posting from my phone and my phone camera gets a little temperamental. :-)

I have a small supply of fleece baby blankets I purchased with the intent to crochet pretty borders around them. However, now that I have an embroidery machine, plans have changed. :-) Here is a cute little blue fleece with airplanes and helicopters in primary colors. I embroidered "Baby" in primary colors on one corner. The blanket is 26" square, 100% polyester, machine wash cold, tumble dry low heat. It will be listed for sale very soon. If you are interested in purchasing it prior to listing just contact me at info@ragamuffinquilts.net. Customized orders are available. I currently have solid pastels in yellow, blue and green along with a light blue with clouds. More will be available soon.

Just had to share an oops on my part in hopes I can help someone else from making the same oops. I hooped a table runner for a stipple quilt design on my embroidery machine making sure it was nice and tight and ready to go. However, I didn't pay attention to the extra loose ends as I slipped the hoop onto the machine for stitching. This is what happened.........

I decided to turn some random leftover quilt blocks into mug rugs. The fabrics are from Moda's Bistro collection and the quilt design is from www.emblibrary.com. They measure approximately 9" square. Mug rugs are great for placing your coffee or tea mug on with room for a pastry, donut, or bagel.

With such busy schedules these days it can be difficult to keep up with your love of sewing or quilting. That's where I find the joy of using precut pieces. Whether it be fat quarters, charms or strips or even tumblers, etc. it really helps with the cutting phase and most times the fabric coordination too. So I ask, what is your favorite precut? Inquiring minds want to know. :-) Just leave a comment & enter to win a free precut package. Winner will be selected and announced on Feb 25, 2012. Be sure to use a valid email account so I can notify you should you win. Comments will be posted even if you don't see it immediately. Your email account will not be displayed or shared with anyone. Thanks & happy sewing!

I took the first week of 2012 off from work to visit with family. After they left, I have managed to knock out and complete 2 UFO quilts and made a new rag quilt. :-) I hope the rest of 2012 is as productive as this first weekend! I finished this fun strip twist quilt, the quilt was actually completed except for the binding. I also finished this Winnie the Pooh baby quilt. The top had been done and pinned but needed to be quilted and bound. Last but not least, I made this new project as well. A super adorable and vibrant purple and lime green rag quilt. I need to take pics in the sunshine to capture the pretty colors.
